Are you interested in gazing at the night sky?

Wonder why stars appear to move and the Moon looks different every night?

Maybe you own a telescope and would like some guidance on how to use it?

Perhaps you already have some experience and would like the opportunity to share your knowledge with others?

This new and friendly group in Yeovil has been formed to introduce beginners to the fascinating world of astronomy and provide a means for like-minded people in the locality to get together.

In addition to hosting star parties, the group periodically runs formal lecture evenings and telescope workshops.

Star parties are held at Ham Hill Country Park and our lectures take place at The Art Gallery Cafe in Yeovil.  We are associated with the observatory at the Charterhouse Centre on the Mendip Hills where members can use its stunning 18.25 inch reflector telescope by prior arrangement.

New members are always most welcome.  Please don't hesitate to get in touch by email if you are interested in joining, or why not drop into the cafe for a chat with the proprietor Tony, who is one of the group's founders.
